ARE TR BEADLOCKS DOT APPROVED OR COMPLIANT?

All TR Wheels are DOT compliant. However, our Real Beadlock wheels are still marked as “intended for off road use”. Because of the one variable we have no control over, the tire, and the operation and maintenance needed for some tire wheel combinations(see comments on spacers below), we choose mark the wheel that way and let the end user decide how to use the wheels to fit his/her needs. More info here https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/CFR-2002-title49-vol5/pdf/CFR-2002-title49-vol5-sec571-120.pdf
WHAT DO I TORQUE THE BEAD LOCK BOLTS TO?

Torque the beadlock bolts to 20 lbs. ft with anti-seize, or, 24 lbs. ft. dry.

I’VE HEARD SPACERS ARE REQUIRED FOR SOME TIRES WHEN USED WITH TR BEADLOCKS. DO I NEED THEM?

Beadlock wheels commonly have a 1/2″ groove to accommodate tire bead thickness up to 3/4″. For tires with a bead thickness of more than 3/4″ you need to use a spacer to maintain contact between the beadlock ring and the wheel. Lack of contact between those two surfaces means the ring is just floating on the tire rubber and will fatigue the bolts to the point of failure over time.

MY INSIDE BEAD IS BURPING OR LOSING AIR WHEN BELOW 10psi. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?

Some bias tires with very thick and stiff sidewall/bead sections don’t flex when aired down. They are so stiff that when it looks like the sidewall is flexing, the tire bead is actually rotating or squirming on the wheel allowing air to leak out. Furthermore, those same tires are purposefully built with a larger ID and fit loose on the wheel so that they will inflate over the safety bump on the wheel at an acceptable air pressure. There are a couple “budget” remedies beyond running higher psi. The one cure that has wide success is to bond the rear bead to the wheel using an adhesive, such as 3M 08008 Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive.

DO THE WHEELS HAVE A COATING ON THEM? HOW DO I CARE FOR THE MACHINE FINISH WHEELS?

Unless you choose the optional powdercoat finish on the wheels, you will have a raw machined finish and depending upon the climate you live in, you may see brake dust or water chalking try to degrade the appearance of the wheel finish over time. Use a machined wheel protectant such as Eastwood Metal Protect

IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MUCH OR HOW LITTLE AIR PRESSURE I CAN RUN?

With TR Wheels, you’re only limited to the maximum limits as marked on the tire. You may also run as little air as you think possible without causing tire damage.

WHAT DOES TR BEADLOCKS ONE YEAR AND LIFETIME WARRANTY COVER?

TR HD Series wheels all come with a one year replacement warranty covering any functional failure including trail or racing hazard, except damage caused by loose lug nuts. The warranty is not prorated and non-transferable. To get a repair or replacement, simply return the damaged part to TR and we will fix it or replace it. Warranty excludes finish or freight.

WHERE ARE TR BEADLOCK WHEELS MADE?

For 18 years, TR Beadlocks wheels were the only cast beadlock wheel made in the USA. In 2017, our foundry partner, AEWC, by this time the last aftermarket wheel foundry in the US, closed its doors. In an effort to keep TR Wheels made here in the US, we poured a huge amount of effort and money into a motorsports/powersports foundry in the Midwest, but ultimately there were not able to meet the volume and quality requirement. Having exhausted the last possible domestic casting situation, we teamed up with MW Wheel. MW, operating as Weld Wheel, has a long history of US wheel manufacturing and also now has an international foot print in the wheel manufacturing business. With MW, we have moved our HD Series wheel to FlowFormed technology, which offers forged rim performance in a cast wheel. The rim is formed overseas and we do the machining along with all beadlock ring manufacturing in house at our facility in Mount Vernon WA. We are the only FlowFormed extreme duty offroad wheel available.

TR Beadlocks also offers our USAForged model that is 100% USA manufactured, and backed with the same one year warranty replacement warranty.

**TR Beadlocks are now stronger with flow-form casting and forged bell.**
**TR Beadlocks now come standard with a Lifetime Warranty**

Non Prorated, Non Transferable Warranty covers any functional failure except loose lug nuts. Excludes sanctioned racing, finish, and freight. Customer must return wheel for repair or replacement (TR discretion).
Trail Ready HD Series Beadlocks are extremely popular with desert racers and hard core rock crawlers alike and have proven themselves in every off-road race on the planet. They feature a thick, one piece, cast aluminum shell and your choice of three different beadlock rings machined from 3/8″ 6061 T6 billet aluminum. The rings have counter bored bolt hols to prevent the beadlock ring bolts from snapping and being rounded off. Custom finish options include a black satin powder coat on the wheels and polished or anodized beadlock rings.
